When we first saw hotel Milla Montis we thought that it is the perfect place for international travellers who are used to enjoying a high level of comfort whilst having direct access to well-being facilities and impeccable dining experiences under one sole property’s roof. The hotel stands out for its architecture which impresses from afar as its minimalistic design gloriously pops out of the green foundations of Mount Gitschberg. Milla Montis hotel was created with a focus on this life’s luxuries that matter the most but are often forgotten or subconsciously put aside, such as our personal time, our connection with nature and our limitation of the dependence on material goods. The hotel’s philosophy aims to remind us that these are priorities that can help us establish a healthier and happier life and so, this property got opened with the aim to become the ideal hideaway for those who are ready to embark on a rejuvenating journey where convenience and style are not discounted.
Room & Suite Types
Milla Montis provides 30 rooms in sizes that start from around 34sqm. to 42sqm. approximately, spreading across four different categories which are the Double bedroom, Living Suite, Spa Suite and Spa Suite Plus. All rooms benefit from South direction as well as beautiful views of the green hills and the Dolomites.
Although all rooms have a great look and feel, there are certain elements that inevitably made us play favourites. For example, the private sauna of the Spa Suite Plus category helped that room type win a special place in our hearts as we can definitely see ourselves relaxing in there after an adventurous day in the outdoors. If it was for a family trip, we would probably choose the Living Suite for more space.
All rooms are aligned in terms of aesthetics as the minimalistic interior décor dominates the property’s four categories.
Location
Milla Montis hotel is located on Meransen’s green hills overlooking towards the magnifying Dolomites and embracing South Tyrol’s immaculate natural beauty. The village itself is situated on Mount Gitschberg, which is an all year-round sport region, and has a total of 850 inhabitants.
For those who visit Milla Montis from abroad, the closest airport is Bolzano Airport – Dolomites which is on a 50mim. drive to the hotel. However, if you plan to visit other Italian destinations prior to Meransen alternative transport links might be preferred.
Ski lovers will be delighted to hear that Gitschberg is a wonderful destination for ski courses and winter activities. Gitschberg Jochtal Ski is close to the hotel and private instructors can be arranged from Milla Montis’ fantastic team for your convenience.

Milla Montis is a property that allows guests to dive into a great range of experiences; from culinary indulgence, to indoors relaxation and outdoors activities, guests have a wide array of options and can decide how they wish to use their time during their trip. Skiing tends to be a very popular activity during the winter months and of course, hiking is always great there. Meditation and Yoga could be another way for guests to start their day as the beauty of the Dolomites and the valley of Eisacktal awaken guests’ need to slow down and do things that are good for themselves. However, if one feels too stressed, tired or tense they can just as well rely on a therapist’s hands and just relax and get spoiled.
