Overview
A stylish Milanese apartment located in a building designed by the innovative architect, Giuseppe Tortato.

The Property
When one visits Milan, an encounter with contemporary arts and modern design is not just a wish but a solid promise. With that in mind, we could not find a best representative but for this beautifully appointed loft that is located in Navigli area.
The apartment itself feels like an interactive museum dressed in bespoke furniture and unique piece of art. Its interiors elevate the neo-brutalist design by paying tribute to “Maison de Verre”, which was designed by the icon of modern architecture and design, Pierre Chareau.
This apartment reflects the destination’s identity and Milan’s long history that is related to design by mixing a variety of materials, arts and influences and put them all under a 5 meter high ceiling. The apartment is located on the first floor of a bold building and, without trying hard to be too lush, it effortlessly translates the perfect meaning of an experiential stay. The space has an industrial base which has been complemented by high-quality, refined furniture and beautiful paintings, resulting in an elegantly shaped mix and match, aesthetically advanced environment. The industrial brick walls have gotten filed with perfectly insulating soundproofing while the exposed conduit metal pipes and double-tempered stained glass windows highlight the detailed work that has been done to its interiors. The signature furniture, such as the oak bookcase that is found in the living room, add warmness and coziness to it, creating the most perfect nest for a reader or set the scene for an evening with classic music, coming out of the unique Hi-Fi audio system that was handcrafted by the most famous Italian luthiers (Sonus Faber “Guarneri” speakers from 1994) and the classic music vinyls that have been placed in the loft and are ready to be enjoyed.
The environmentally conscious approach related to this apartment’s building and its operations is key and we hope that you will enjoy reading our little “green” secret on the following lines. With no further delay, we would like to share with you that the oak bookcase has actually been made exclusively from trees that were already dead and, which were personally found by the artisan, so no tree was cut to make it. Additionally, the bathroom amenities’ packaging is made of natural recycled plastic in order to avoid the usage of disposable plastic.

Room & Suite Types
The apartment consists of the lower floor and the upper floor. On the lower floor’s level, there is the Living Room as well as a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with television and a bathroom with a big shower. On the upper floor, reachable through an imposing iron staircase, there is the master bedroom with an upholstered queen size bed and a cozy reading corner with a classic 19th century Burgundy armchair. There is also an ensuite bathroom split into two areas; one with a large built-in bath tub and shower head and another area with the sanitary ware. There is natural light coming in through the concrete wall while the windows can open allowing fresh air to enter. The apartment benefits from autonomous heating system and air conditioning is provided by fan coils. There is high-speed WiFi, environmental friendly bathroom amenities and hotel-quality towels and sheets.
Location
Navigli area is an upcoming area with lots of bars and restaurants which stay open till late, making this neighbourhood ideal for the traveller who wants to explore the city during the day and also enjoy Milan’s nightlife conveniently, as most places are within a walking distance from the apartment. This is a district with intense artistic influences, providing a very inspiring vibe as a whole for the guests who will get the chance to embrace their strolls locally. Also, Navigli is pretty well connected with the rest of the city and so, the guest will not be discouraged from exploring the rest of Milan, too.
Experience
From an experiential point of view, the apartment is a true reflection of the destination. Italy, and of course Milan, is well-known for a long-living fashion and design tradition. The apartment’s interior designer has managed to bring all this authenticity and history into the property, allowing the guest to sense the local influences even when they choose to stay in rather than enjoy the outings. Additionally, the team of Nativo, who manage the apartment, have ensured the guests find in Via Pestalozzi all necessary tools that will help them explore the city’s most special corners through the unusual city guides provided on complimentary basis as well as a variety of hand-picked by Nativo experiences, which can facilitate the guests’ planning and good use of their free time. Besides the outdoors options, staying in and enjoy the great Art that decorates this unique apartment, and is also available for sale, is an experience by itself, too.

What we like about it
Apart from the sophistication seen on the apartment’s interior design and its architectural excellence, we were thrilled by the history related to the loudspeakers that have been placed in the living room, as there are only 2500 pieces of these Songs Faber loudspeakers, which were made to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the master Italian violin maker Guarneri. These handcrafted jewels are a treasure for the audiophiles and the best way to enjoy the collection of classical vinyls using the vinyl player that Nativo’s team has selected for the guests.
